I have a couple of Belgium Brownings and as an alternative to selling everything and going to stainless steel, I am planning to send the Brownings to Corlane Sporting Goods (Rocky Mountain Rifles) in Dawson Creek, to have them powder coated..... Has anyone out there had this done to any of their rifles? And, how did it turn out?

I have not powder coated a rifle from them but a few buddies have. Colanes (Rod, Tim & staff) do great work. I had my Sako m75 SS 300WM barrel fluted with just the flutes teflon coated. That was in 1997, and no problems to this day.

Thanks. I haven't heard anything but good stuff about their work and I'm sure tired of buffing rust off of my rifles.

The part I'm most concerned about is the trigger mechanism, as they coat ALL of the metal parts. Bottom line is; will they be as accurate as they are now?

ive seen on shows like american choppers that when something is powder coated it adds a bit to the metal so any tight fitting parts might bind up, but thats prolly a different powder coating and if u guys have seen it work then im sure it will

I had Corlane powder coat the barrel and receiver of a 99 Savage. It looks great. They called me before returning it to say they had put a small mark on it during re-assembly and asked whether I wanted it redone or not...offered me $100 off, and the option to return it if I wasn't happy. As it turned out, the imperfection was tiny, and was covered by the forestock anyway, so I stayed with the discount. Excellent work, and great guys to deal with.
