Powder for cast 9mm

I am looking for powder for 124gr cast bullets in my 9mm. I have some Titegroup that works well in my .45, but when I was looking for data for the 9mm I saw several people saying that Titegroup is a fairly hot burning powder that tends to lead the bore in high pressure pistol rounds. I have noticed the bore does lead more than the .45 does,so I'm hoping to find a powder that is less "harsh" so to speak. The only other one I've tried is Unique,which was okay except that it doesn't meter as well as Titegroup and is fairly dirty. Any suggestions? If it works good in the .45acp that would be a bonus.
 
I up size my cast 9mm 124 grain, water dropped wheel weight lead(hard) to .357, liquid alox lube with the titegroup with no lead issues at all in any of my semis.

That's exactly the bullet type and lube I'm using. Do you recall what charge weight your using?
 
I've used Titegroup and cast bullets with good results. I'm sure there are better choices, but so far is good for me with .40 S&W and 9mm. Leading hasn't been really an issue so far.

With a 124 grain cast bullet I use 3.6 grains Titegroup.....any lower and the cases get blackened from low pressure. YMMV
 
Since you are using Titegroup for your 45, just keep using it for your 9's as well. Great powder for all pistol loads and for cast, plated or jacketed.

Leading is more a result of bullet diameter, alloy and lube. Slug your barrel and size accordingly (unless you buy commercial cast).
 
I currently use 231, but in the past have had good results with AA#2, Bullseye and Unique. I would like to have a supply of AA#2, I liked it alot.
 
3.6g of Titegroup will work wonders in:

180g .40S&W
.38special 158g SWC
9mm RNC 124g

That's about 1925 rounds per pound, and the stuff costs $27.00 so 1.5cents per round for powder. Your alternative is Bullseye, good stuff as well, I use 3.5g of this in those 3 calibers if I'm out of Titegroup. I've played around with the 4.2g of Bullseye and Titegroup in the .40S&W and it's decent, just as accurate as 3.5/6g but more kick and uses your powder up faster.
 
I wasnt having much luck with bullseye in my SR9 and I switched to power pistol. It worked pretty good, and I have swithched to plated bullets, and a G17 since but still using power pistol. Lots of flash and bang but I like that.
