Hoping you all could help me narrow down my choice of powder for the 4 calibers I am going to be loading.

Right now I am just loading 9mm with 700x. I have a load for the 45 with 700x I want to try as well.

As for the 38/357 I am not sure where to start.

I am just using the 700x as I have 2 pounds left then I would gladly try anything else.

I am using aim 124gr, and plan on using aim 158gr and 230gr. I have all my brass already.

Any suggestions would be great. I am just trying not to have 1 powder for each caliber. Thanks all.

700X is good for 115gr 9mm, very good.
Try WST or WSF or what you can find in that powder burning range for .45acp.
Titegroup is good and cheap.
For 357/38Spcl - try 2400, 7625 or 4756.

The only thing, if it applies to you, IMR powders are inverse - meaning the higher the outside temp, the lower pressure and velocity you get out of your load.

Well hit the store today and nothing to be found powder wise. Ended up getting some Blue Dot to try in the 38/357.

No large pistol primers to be had. Had small pistol primers for $54/1000. Going to try another store tomorrow.

Winchester 231 is also sold as Hodgdon HP-38.
Try International Shooting Suppliers in Surrey around Gilford mall, they had some powder in 1lb containers at reasonable prices and primers at $49.99/1000 or so.
Then, you can wait till WSS in Langley gets their shipment as their primers are supposed to be in $40 range.

Thats where I was today. They had small pistol primers for 54 and small pistol primers magnum for 52. No large pistols primers. They were out of the powders I was looking for. They were very helpful in getting me the blue dot and some dies but I will try Reliable and see what they have.

700X has been working well for my 38 specials, and 38 +Ps. I get 1000 fps average out of my Ruger GP 100 6 inch with 158 grain LeeTLSWC over 4.3 grains 700X.

For 357 magnum, 158 JHP over 14 grains 2400 powder and 158LeeTLSWC over 10.5 Blue Dot.

For 9 mm, 124 grain LFP or LRN over 4.4 grains Universal, 135 grain FMJ over 4.1 Universal. These loads are still quite below maximum. Haven't chrono'd yet but all produced 100% reliability for feed and eject with good accuracy (no bench test results yet). Brass is tossed reliabily and consistently within easy pick-up range.

For 45ACP, 230 grain LRN over 5.2 grn Winchester 231 worked well. I'll load with 5.4 grn Universal next time.
