Hi all

I am currently using the Lee "Perfect Powder Measure" for my powder thrower. It came in a 50th Anniversary Lee kit. It is pretty inconsistent with varget powder.

Wondering if the Lyman's "POWDER MEASURE NO.55" would be better for consistent powder throws for varget

Regards

The Lyman 55, "IDEAL," was once the powder measure of preference of world class bench rest shooters, who by the way, did not weigh each charge, but simply went from powder measure to cartridge.

I have a number of powder throwers, with the Redding BR being my favourite.

The 55 is the only that will throw flake powders. the others bind up.

For match ammo I want to throw charges to the tenth. None of them will do that. For match ammo I use a Chragemaster, a power trickler.

Only measure I own is a Lyman 55. Have used it for more than 50,000 rds. Works great with flake powders like Unique . Occasionally binds with long stick powders like 4064 and IMR 4198. I also like the 3 sliding bars for adjustment. Have used it from 2.0 of Bullseye to 50.0 of 4064.
