Powder measure

The nicest auto powder unit I have seen is a RCBS unit, very accurate, very $, way out of my league. I just use the Lee powder dispenser and it does a great job getting it real close then just top up with a trickle drop unit, But if you have the funds, give the RCBS ChargeMaster 1500 Scale unit a look.

+1 for the RCBS. One of the hardest powders to meter consistently is unique and mine throws within + or -. 1 or. 2 grains no problem.

If you get a used one you'll want to buy the baffle. I think the new ones come with it. They cost $12 at wholesale sports but I just made mine.

If you need a baffle PM me and I'll send you the template.

I bought the RCBS Chargemaster Combo last month.
It is not inexpensive, but I learned a long time ago to buy once, cry once.
I loaded up my first 50 rounds with it and realized I should have bought this a long time ago.
I double check my loads against a new Acculab scale that I also acquired and it is right on.
Needless to say I gave away my powder trickler and sold my beam scale.

RCBS Chargemaster is $280 in the states. Yes, this is not cheap, but not nearly as bad as list price and what many pay.

I plan to buy one here shortly.

Prophet River has them for 380 now, with 50$ off rebate from RCBS so $330. Takes a few weeks to get the rebate but I got mine from my reloading kit.

How automatic are you talking? I am using the lee "perfect powder measure" and it works just fine.

If you're doing pistol or small caliber ammunition you could try the through-die powder dispenser as well. I've seen it used for larger caliber by dispensing twice but I'm not a big fan of the idea.
