So I work up a load in my 25-06 with IMR 4350, it is very accurate and I burn up the whole pound. I call Higginson, no IMR 4350 in stock right now. He says he has H4350, H4831, and some new fangled stuff called Hybrid 100V that should all work very well in the 25-06. What would you guys do? I was planning on buying at least 4 pounds, maybe 8. Now I will have to buy a one pound can again to do load development and hope they have the new powder in stock when I run out of the one pounder.

I am not bashing Higginson, they have always provided me with good service. I am just trying to decide what to do. Thanks guys!

H4350 is very good powder, and can be used with IMR 4350 data. Hybrid 100V is my new favorite powder, similar in burning rate to R-19 (midway between 4350 and 4831) but with a higher loading density due to the small powder particles, similar to a course ball powder, and in my .375 it has given me additional 50 fps over 4350 in all bullet weights. It should be a good choice in overbore small bore cartridges that do well with R-19, with the advantage of better temperature stability.

For lighter bullets H4350 be good and if you'r going for , say 130/140 gr then little slow burning than H4350 , you go for H4831 , try getting SC or H4831 SSC , depending on your choice and supply
