Just started reloading for .38 S&W and 9mm, soon .45 acp, but also have intentions to load for .40, 357 mag, 44 mag and .223 and .308 in rifle soon. Here is my issue. I am currently using Bullseye powder, but find it to be a bit messier then I would like. Are there any cleaner burning powders you more experienced loaders recommend for noth, rifle and pistol? Preferably something that gives remarkable results. Please list calibers where applicable as well. Thanks all!!

One thing, I have experienced blue dot ammo, and man, now THAT is dirty stuff. But this bullseye isn't to far behind.

BTW, I got into this to save money/increase round count, but I gotta tell you, it's hard to pull me away from that bench!! I actually really enjoy rolling my own!!

Titegroup for your most of your pistol needs, except 357 and 44 mag, where you could use AA#9, very clean. You can actually use titegroup in .357 and .44 as well, just that the speeds will be much lower than you might like.

Rifle, a good middle of the road powder is RL15. Clean, meters well for a stick powder, accurate.

I don't know what you mean by 'remarkable results'. You could be referring to cleanliness, speed, consistency, metering, etc.

Yeah, I should have probably made that a little more clear. By remarkable results, what I mean is, you've found the loads/a load to be not only clean, but accurate. For the handguns, I am not overly concerned with power loads, as I am punching paper. accuracy and cleanliness is of utmost importance. For most of these I would pusking Lead Semi wads to, so lower velocities actually preferred. THe only exception at this point is the 9mm. Thanks acrashb!
