Powder suggestion for 180gr RN in a 308

Getting late in the summer and have finalize a load for the 308.

I got some 180gr sierra RN for my 308, but been getting crappy results with 4895 which is what i normally use for 150s.

Any suggestions for powder?

Something a bit slower.

4350, 760, RL17 N150 RL15 H380

have any of those?

I've used IMR 4064 and Varget with 178-185 grain bullets with great results.

Try some 4064 or 4350, they give good results with heavier weight bullets.

I use that exact bullet in my hunting load for my M88 lever........Varget

hi get some 748 or 760 win powder you will get what you want have fun

I got a quarter can of 4064 and some 4350. Will try those out first before buying something else. Picking up a half can of varget from my buddy, but was under the impression that they are similar to 4895.
