Hi,
I prefer slower powders for all my handgun reloading, and have used Blue Dot extensively in my Glock 27 (108mm BarSto barrel) and Glock 35. In the shorter G27 muzzle flash is quite noticeable on the indoor range, but will not be a problem in your long barrel and outdoors.
For your CX-4 I would strongly recommend Blue Dot or even the slower Longshot. It will give you noticeably higher, but safe, velocity than any of the faster powders which you list. Depending on what you intend hunting, I would also think the 180 XTP and Gold Dot bullets to work best. If you intend shooting larger game, even consider finding the 200gr XTP. You should easily get 1000ft/s from the longer barrel of your CX-4.
I have used factory 155gr Speer Gold Dot and Hornady Hydra Shock on small animals back in South Africa (no loose components in 180gr XTP or Gold Dot to reload), and the results were excellent (animals smaller than 35kg). I only shot one small antelope (Cape Grysbok) and the 155gr Gold Dot went through both shoulders (poor animal had been hit by a vehicle and I euthanized it = not hunted), fired from my Glock 23 carry gun.
My near max loads (8.5gr) with Blue Dot and 180gr Frontier RNFP plated bullets and a COL of 28.5mm gives a velocity of about 1060ft/s from the G35, and just under 950ft/s from the G27. I use CCI 500 primers. The Winchester T-Series Hollow Point Ranger factory ammo chronographs at about 1050ft/s from my G35 (over the Chrony) and just under 1000ft/s from the G27. Obviously, these loads feed 100% reliably through the Glock pistols.
