Does powder burn speed have any effect on recoil?

I noticed that different powders/loads that supposed to produce equal velocity have different recoil. (I didn't have a chrony so maybe the velocities were in fact different) but is this possible?

I believe it does in that with a given bullet weight it takes a larger powder charge of slow burning powder to attain the same velocity, and the weight of the powder charge contributes to the amount of recoil. According to my recoil calculator if we consider a 150 gr bullet driven at 2800 fps in a .30-06, 47 grs of IMR 3031 produces 16.29 ft/lbs of recoil, while 60 grs of IMR 4831 produces 19.55 in an 8 pound rifle.
