Can anyone identify the emblem on this PP pistol grip, ground dug? Thanks!

Hey Joe,

Looks like a great find.

To me it looks like it says OH wrapped together. Is the grip made out of wood?

It could be a very vain person's personalized grip.

this is a German "Ortgies" pistol grip emblem they where made Germany in the early 1900. they came in a .25 cal and a .32 cal.

Early Deutsche Werke grips have the monogram 'HO', while later grips have an ornate 'D' formed by a stylized animal. It's likely those grips came of a Deutsche Werke AG pistol.
