PPC Duty Pistol

CZ is on their list so...... it's in.
They say the list represents the "types" of pistols issued to Canadian police, that's all

http://www.cpca-ppc.ca/More_Info/approved_duty_pistol_list.htm

I missed the keyword there: "types of firearms". Thanks. It makes more sense now.

They list just the "main" model number not all the submodels,
Sig 226 is on the list. The question is:

Is "Sig 226 X-Five" allowed in a duty class?

Does anyone shoot X-Five in PPC?

I do not believe the P226 X-Five are allowed in Duty Pistol.

First off, it must be traditional double action or double action
only, or striker fired. No single actions permitted (most of the
X-Five models are single action). Factory fixed sights (any fixed
sights offered by the factory only, no aftermarket sights and no
adjustable sights).

Pull for first shot DA/DAO/Striker > 5lbs. Second shot SA/Striker > 3.5lbs.
Read section 21 of the CPCA rule book.

If you find an X-Five variants which currently fit the Duty Pistol
guidelines, you can confirm eligibility with the chief referee @ CPCA HQ.

X-Five and X-Six are good choices for 1500 Open, Open Pistol and
Distinguish Pistol matches.

Does this mean my P226 is ok for Duty but my Kimber 1911 isn't?

That is correct. Kimber 1911 is S/A - which is a no go. If you
like the 1911 form factor, then you should look at Para LDA series.

You are also required to have at least a 2 level retention holster
and only one double mag pouch with securing flaps (retented mag pouch)
on your belt.

Remember, this discussion only concerns the CPCA PPC Duty Pistol Match.
