2.8gr Bullseye under a 148gr HBWC fired by a Federal primer.

A great load in my 686.

3.1 gr of 231 under the 148 gr HBWC leave the bullet about a 5/1000 above the case mouth and crimp enough to hold the bullet... federal primer...

works great to 50 yds in my 6" charltons... and my 10, 14....

This load was also scary accurate in my factory Model 10 - a real pussycat to shoot and dirt cheap too. I shot thousands of these one year (two pounds of W231 - do the math) shooting this load will make you a better shooter.

Another vote for 3.1 grains of 231 witfh Federal primers. Great in all my 38s.
