I just got a new PPQ. I put about 80 rounds through it this morning and was very happy with the groupings but the rear sight is off and I'm landing shots about 3/4" left at 25 feet. I'd like to adjust the rear sights but I'm not sure how. The manual is rather vague and suggests using an adjustment tool. I've got the tritium sights so I don't want to start whacking it with a drift pin and a hammer. I know the metal sights can use an adjustment screw but these ones don't have any threading. I know Brownell's sells sight tools but I don't really want to shell out $150.

Any tips?

They're the default ones that were installed at the factory. At 30', the sights are 3/4" left and 1/2" high of the bore sight. I have no problem with the vertical as I assume they were meant to be zeroed for 50', but I'd like to correct the windage.

Ah, gotcha. Luckily The factory sights aren't tritium, they just have a photolumenescent paint applied to them. You should be safe to use traditional methods to drift the rear sight. A brass or plastic punch will minimize the likelihood of unwanted marks on the sight, but if you are careful a steel one will do in a pinch. Good luck!

Maybe he has a M2 which I think has different sights, but i could bewrong!

Thanks. I'll give the brass a while.
It's an M1 with the paddle mag release, Okcorral.
