Pps-50 ?

Good little .22 for plinkin'. About as accurate as an out of the box 10/22 (not spectacular, but it'll pop a gopher at 50 yards). First time I disassembled it I found it was a bit taxing, but the second time you do it it's not too bad. The drums are hit and miss. I bought 2 drums and 1 works perfectly the other one is a jam-o-matic. The box mags are a real pain to load, especially as you get to the end of the mag and the spring reaches maximum compression. Overall I rate it a 6 out of 10. I'd almost think a person would be better off just buying a 10/22 and using the 50 round drums for it, if it's the drums you're after. I'm probably going to sell mine on the EE sometime in the new year.

Apparently, feeding the drum mag the right ammo makes all the difference. Someone posted a great review of the Black Dog drum with a 10/22 and 4 different types of ammo. Search for it (about a month back) in this forum, has lots of videos. I think the winner was Remington Golden bullets for the least jams.

I pick it over the 10/22 mostly for the look. Once you tac up a 10/22 you'll be in the same price range as the PPS50.
