I would like to hear your personal experience and opinions on the current production ppu non corrosive 7.62x25 fmj tokarev ammo.
Its stated by prvi as 1722 fps and 560 ft lbs at the muzzle but doesnt specify barrel length used.

Has anyone chrono'd it in a pistol?

General opinions of performance?

Compared to surplus corrosive?

Anything else would be appreciated too! I have a new production Zastava m57

Thanks

I have used quite a bit of it. That velocity is completely out to lunch. It's actually the slowest I have chronographed at 1400fps avg from a TT-33. Chinese, Russian and polish x25 all runs at 1450fps. Czech will vary with headstamp, anywhere from 1500-1625fps. It is reliable and nice to shoot but that velocity is not correct. PPU does make a JHP that supposedly gets over 1700fps from a pistol but I haven't seen it in Canada. It's also marketed under the Wolf Gold ammunition line.
