I picked up acouple of boxes of PPU ammunition in 6.5x55 swede at Canadian Tire ( $24.95) 139 gr, soft point.Any experiance with this ammunition?
My swede isn't picky, seems to give good results on most anything and as a hunting rifle is superb.Low recoil and very accurate ,and as a deer rifle is about perfect ,made a lot of one shot kills and nothing went far, maybe 20 yards at most( did I mention I'm a fan of these 100 year old plus swedes, there's got to be a reason a cartridge survives that long...)

PPU would be my second choice only after norma, and norma is super expensive and near impossible to come by, so in reality PPU would be my first choice.
I just used some last weekend that would be about 25 years old that still have the old nny headstamp and it all functioned flawlessly.

I as looking at it ,the brass looked good and the bullets are typical soft point....the 65x55 is not a high velocity bullet ,but it works well on game
