Hi all
Yesterday was the initiation day at Batoche Range, CFB Valcartier, for the PQRA. The Schedule was easy. 7h00 to 8h00, welcome with coffee and donuts, then a short explanation to all about range safety, bolt flags, how the target marking is done, etc. We then splitted the group in 2.
We started the shooting at 300 yards, it was raining a bit. First group did 300 and 400, then we had the first group go at the targets and the second group do the 300 and 400. We had fog in the second group, so thick all we could see was the white board with a bit of a black circle. Still, the guys shot 5 and V.
In the afternoon same formula, 500 and 600 yards. It was sunny and windy, so it gave a good idea to everyone what to expect when shooting F-Class.
The entry was 40$ for the day. At the end of the day those who wanted to join payed 80$ more (120$) for a membership. Usually our membership is 130$.
We had 31 participants, and 10 joined the PQRA. I am very happy with the outcome.
