We tried last year to have an event, but there was not enough people interested/available so it was cancelled. The date we are looking for would be August 16th (to be confirmed later) at the Batoche range, CFB Valcartier, near Québec City.
What we have in mind is very simple. 3 distancem unlimited sighter and 15 shot for score. Distance will be 200 yards, 400 and 600. We will use the f-class 600 yard target for the whole day, so at 200 the black circle is easy to see, and it will get smaller and smaller as the day progress.
Participants will be taught how to mark the score, and we will work the targets and shoot during the day.
Any rifle used in a conflict between 1914 and 1953 is allowed. Semi-auto will need to be shot single shot. There are basically 2 class, one is "As Issued", which included all the Lee Enfield, Mauser, Mosin, etc with iron sight, and we have a "sniper/target" class, those are scoped rifle (mosin sniper, No4T sniper, etc) and the rifle fitted with micrometric peep sights.
Those of you who have sporter are welcome, we will allow 4x on the scopes to even the game.
