Practice before the hunt

Howdy,
not sure where else to post this.
I have my rifle, have my reloading components, and planning to go on my first hunting trip this winter.
I, however, need to practice!
Does anyone know of good gov't ranges around Calgary that don't have a membership fee?

There is no Overseer/Range Officer at the Homestead Range. I've heard of many incidents at that "garbage dump" that would make the Taliban flee for his life. It's not a very safe area to shoot. I would recommend to find a cutline, place up an A-frame sign and then practice, or join one of the many clubs in and around Calgary. Google is your friend.
