Finally got around to picking the perfect scope for my perfect gun. (Left hand desert tech in 338 lapua + 6.5X47 lapua)
Wife has no idea I just ordered so please help me ease my mind I've done the right thing, lol.
Looking at 1000 yards+ obviously and wont ever let this package go.
Is there anything you would have picked different? And why please.

I will gladly attend your funeral when the dust settles.

Just make sure you add Daver_II to your will.

It's a very nice scope.

This is just a starting point. I've got 650 yards off my deck but have made local friends up to 2000 yards on this forum and plan on buying neighboring farms as they come up. Glad nothing negative yet!

Well after that statement, I'd probably have gone Tangent Theta and/or ZCO :p

But that will be a sweet scope, I've always wanted to try a 7-35.

I think you picked a great optic, have no doubt there will be any buyer remorse. Great caliber choices as well. Best of luck. If you need company on some LR shooting Im only 40 minutes east of K town. Cheers Chris

Sorry, dont frequent the optics forum much. This is a very bright, very precise scope. I'm still working on the 300 yard sight as it takes the right frame of mind to sight in at $10 a round but so far consistency has been great and I'm looking forward to shooting much longer ranges. This scope certainly suits the rifle.

Now you have to start reloading for the 338lm. Nice scope by the way. Should get you out to 2000 easily. Find out if the gun likes 250 or 300's.
I'm moly coating all my bullets from now on, except the powder coated fun ones. I can send 180 gr at 3330 fps. It turns 3/8" steel to mist.

Oh and how is her new floor?

Wouldn't/couldn't go MRAD !?

Suppose it's a "stick with what your used to" thing, mrad is very busy for me and judging distances is quite easy being a finish carpenter. Also a lone shooter, and this is a total paper puncher so for me it's much easier to adjust my shots this way.

Things have almost slowed down, I havent chopped down a full trail yet, but this is still quite fun reaching 300 yards. Before the nice weather goes, and when you want to sight in I'll have you shoot a few rounds.

Sounds good buddy...I just picked up a Savage Axis II Precision rifle in .223. It's a Daisy Red Ryder compared to what you have now...but happy to come down and sight that and some other guns before summer is out... would love to see your Father's Day present your wife got you as well as this recent most excellent accessory...happy to take you up on your offer to try it out though I shall order my linebacker shoulder pads first...@ $10 a round I don't want to waste shots...

When I went to pay for my Leupold 4-12x40 for the Savage, I thought $500 was a bit steep for me...but then I saw those Night Force scopes under the counter glass at 10x the price, I feel so much better about my purchase now...lol...

Congrats on the new scope, man! I'll text you in a few weeks when my kid and I will be down your way and happy to take you up on your offer! My daughter can even make a fresh loaf of banana bread for you guys...
