Dearest Paul & Friends at Canada Ammo,
Praytell when will your shipment of long barrelled Norinco M305 rifles arrive? I covet one and wish to speak for one, give me a heads up when they arrive and I shall purchase one!

I've been looking at the M305 lately as well. However, I've been having a hell of a time finding the long barrel anywhere. It's a confirmed buy for me when these come in.

I see everyone is looking for the long barrel. I was considering buying a "shorty", 18.5" barrel, but I don't know enough about them to know if one is better than the other. Can I get opinions please? Thank you.

It's a supply and demand thing when the shorty's were not even out everyone had to have one now the long ones are scarce everyone has to have one, we always want what we can't have! its crazy

Accuracy for both long and short are the same, and theres only a small difference in weight that you may not even notice it. Shortys advantage is pretty much being short, and oh because of that it has a higher front sight post with a tip that is very sharp - so sharp you can actually thrust it into a zombies head like a bayonet.

Longer barrel should be more accurate.

Muzzle velocity on a 308 is about 67 ft per sec per inch of barrel ,, if I remember correctly

So 3.5 X 67 = 234.5 ft per second increase in velocity over a shorty ..

A little more umph down range
