Pre-64 m70 300 H&H barrel contour

Can anyone tell me what the barrel contour of a pre 64 300h&h is like? I'd like to use a takeoff stock for a 9.3x62....just wondering if it's a heavy magnum contour like the newer 375's, or if it's more akin to the 300 winchesters
