Has anyone had experience doing this? I see RDSC can do pre orders and some sites taking back orders. Is it worth doing or does anyone know which company will order a gun if one to their store were to put a deposit or buy one?

On the hunt for 2 that never seem to be in stock but curious how some stores can help out.

I wouldn’t hesitate to do any kind of business with RDSC they are great. And that’s an understatement.

As for pre ordering guns, I’ve done it twice and will never do it again, one was 6 months “late” the other is over a year late and still not here, ordered and paid January 2020.. (neither pre orders were from RDSC)

I've seen this site too. And almost paid money on the backorder which their site says takes 4-6 weeks on average - which is quite a good deal for the item which does not exist anywhere and no plans for restocking as other vendors said.

But then I checked their whole store for other semi-auto rifles - and that threw me off. They list pretty much every imaginable semi which is still legal in Canada on backorder, where each of them says 4-6 weeks! While some other vendors honestly said some specific models will not be imported this tear at least. And this site charges full price in advance. Yet there even those which were OIC'd but at least they are out of stock without backorder option, not sure why to list them in a first place. At least it gives an idea what models are still legal in Canada.

Not saying this store is not legit or bad. It's more likely 4-6 weeks is their default time which likely will stretch over several months taking into account the current situation. I see no point to lending money for a long time, unless they promise to reserve the current price. Because the next batch of whatever model will likely have a higher price - this is what I see with new imports currently. This is not the gun is getting more expensive, but rather dollar is getting cheaper, because money are currently being created out of thin air. Not just in Canada but everywhere.

You could always look into ordering one through I Run Guns. I ordered a 22 receiver this way, and was a painless process. Just a few months wait time for import schedule.
