(sorry but title should be pre 66 vs post 66) 
I lucked out at the gunshow the other day, and found a pre 66 carrier to replace the troublesome one I had in my 1967 model 94, 30/30 Winchester. I wasn't sure if it would work in my rifle, but I got the part for only $10.00!
Before installing it I decided to take pics of both to share with you folks.
IMHO The pre 66 unit is a fine piece of quality kit made out of a solid block of steel.
With the post 66 unit a stamped out piece of junk, I've seen better parts in Chinese rifles.
BTW my 94 was a pain to work on for the first time into her, but I'm glad I found this helpful winchester site listed here from a fellow CanGunnut.
