Precision Rimfire Production scope?

I'm looking for a new scope for my Savage mkII FV to be a little more competitive for precision rimfire and just general longer range plinking. What's a good sub-$500 scope that will provide enough magnification to reach out to ~350yards with a .22lr? I was looking at the Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x44 or 4-16x50. Any preference or other recommendations?

I picked up a Cabellas Covenant 4-16 FFP and really like it ...It was on sale recently for $340 shipped . Great price for a FFP scope with target turrets, 80 MOA elev in the turrets and a nice Christmas tree reticle with another 36 MOA .

Those are decent scopes but you will need to add a canted base to make it that far I would think. For Savage rifles you can look at EGW, they make good stuff.

Love my BSA Sweet 22 by. 3-12 X lots of power to see way out there and bullet weight comp too.
