Just getting into hunting and primarily getting into predator hunting, wolves and Cougars. Looking for a good place to get some decent winter wear hunting camo. I've looked at various places and some of the big stores but just looking to get some feed back from others and where they like to buy from. Interested in real tree xtra and maybe a lite winter Camo jacket pants. Look forward to hearing your feed back.

Cabala's or Bass Pro are the two main leaders in Clothing. Its hard for the smaller stores to have a lot of inventory as it is funds held up on items that don't move quick. Understanding what kind of clothing (warm or cold) that you are looking for. If its a cold long wait type hunting I would go with layers and I have the Artic Shield pro line that seems to hold the heat in but is not good for any walking. If its short sits then UnderArmour makes some nice stuff. Hope that helps a little sorry if its short.

For going out in winter chasing yotes I wear a base layer of costco merino blend upper and lowers (I think these work really well for getting rid of sweat for the price), CF issue gortex overalls with two layer socks and CF issue mukluks. Up top I layer and wear a bunnyhug light sweater with CF issue winter whites over top. Works for me in -10 to -40.

EDIT: No winter whites in this pic

Since I was into backcountry camping long before hunting I already had tons of layered technical gear, layering is definitely the way to go especially in cooler weather. I just bought a nice camo shell and wear my underarmour base layers or merino wool, if its chilly Ill just wear a hoodie as my midlayer but if its freezing I tend to wear my down hoody or fleece. Cotton is the worst thing for layering its cold and heavy. under armour makes some really great stuff but its expensive but its some quality stuff, fits a little snug so size up. best place for outerwear is cabelas, basspro, or sail. real tree xtra is a great pattern and easy to come by.

Called them bunny hug 30yr + before I heard hoody which I had to look/find what a hoody was from a albertan ( came that way). And still can't stand them. Gotta have a zipper. I like the cabelas white jacket and use them for coyotes and big game hunting when snow falls

Hey Doc

I got mine from the same guy. His name was Sgt something from Shilo

What sorta price? I am thinking about getting into Predator hunting (coyote mainly to start, with aspirations to move up to wolf hunting eventually) but I probably need some new winter clothes for it, specifically some white stuff...

I just ordered cf winter whites from Frontier Firearms, a site sponsor, for 19.99 (+$15 shipping :( ) for top and pants. Shipping is a flat fee and I ordered something else, so it wasn't too bad overall.

I bought mine from the same place as titch. Can't remember the price really. Way cheaper than cabelas though. Pants have been across wire a few times, mag need another set soon. They're $50 plus about $14 shipping. Just looked them up.

Frontiers price seems way better.
