So I have a very nice BSA CF2 in 222, it extracts the case, but leaves it in the action. It's a long action, short case, ejection is strong as the mouths are dented, but it's done by the time the bolt is retracted and just flops into the action. It's been to the local plumber, he was going to weld a bead on the bolt face and machine it (near the ejector) to try and keep the case in the bolt face a little longer thinking that might fix it. I gave the go ahead and he had second thoughts, and figures it may not work.
So I'm back to square 1. Any ideas? Is there a balance with the ejector and extractor springs that might be out that is causing this? Both are pretty stiff springs, clean, no binding.
