"Premium" brass uniformity by weight and it's effect on velocity??

Curiosity here, not applicable for me right now, but I'm sure some OCD precision shooters have explored this deeply. In the other thread H4831 posted no discernable velocity difference in 243 cases weighing 20grains different. Anyone else?

Note: Premium brass is obviously useful for it's toughness/resilience. No need to justify that to me.
