Hey guys, I remember a few years ago there was a store in BC mainland -I think it was in Vancouver- that was selling a hand picked premium grade SKS rifles. I just can’t remember the name of it and even after I googled all gun stores in Vancouver area I couldn’t find it… May be somebody can refresh my memories… Also, who else might be selling good quality Russian SKS?

What do you mean by good quality SKS?

You have to set parameters first what you think is a good quality SKS. I would say nearly 100 % of them will do their job. Next is condition and rarity.

For somebody like you asking that question, I would say go for a laminated SKS, matching numbers and not welded magazine pinning. There literally thousands around to buy.

I think dealers are asking too much for SKS. But if it doesn't bother you, message some dealers with the parameters I gave you.

If you think dealers are asking too much for the SKS- check the EE or gun post, you will be shocked! I saw some for $1500….
As for the quality- I meant the great shape, matching numbers and not butchered magazine limited to 5 rounds.
The guy in Vancouver that I’m trying to find had the real hand picked premium units.

Adam, why don't you explain to the folks at home at what premium means.

All the metal work is done the same, so I assume you just mean a good condition stock.

I just sold a Russian 54 laminate with only one ding for 525. My '51 regular stock has no dents and nabbed it for 350$ two years ago
