prep Lapua brass????

6BR requires little or no prep, but I have taken to cleaning up the necks, de-burring flash holes, chamfering the case mouths and expanding the necks and re-sizing as I find virgin brass has a bit too much neck tension for my personal liking. I also use 6.5X47 brass and the batch I had definitely needed turning to deal with the very uneven neck thickness.

I would not use any other brass... period. I have Lapua brass that is on its 4th barrel and still going strong, in fact I've never thrown away a single lapua case from splitting or loose primer pockets. I won't build a rifle in any cartridge that I cannot make from Lapua brass. I am a Lapua snob.

Flash holes on Lapua brass are drilled not punched, not need to de-burr the flash hole. I do run them through a S type sizing die (even though Peter claims you don't have to) and chamfer the the case mouths.
I will admit to being a Lapua snob also.

all I did with mine was re-size, and clean up the case mouths (debur and chamfer) after firing once I did a regular prep (resize, trim, tumble, ect)

I prepare mine by installing, bullet, powder and primer:D

Seriously, I used to go thru all the preparations steps, but I have found that it does not matter, I don't even weigh mine, I have given up on that a long time ago.

After the first firing I do the usual prep, but out of the box I find that going thru all the fine tuning makes no difference.

I too am a Lapua snob... I wonder if there is a 12 step program to help me?

Chamfer and deburr, neck size it, and fireform to the rifle - it's that simple!
I don't sort anymore, ream pockets or flash holes, just basiclly shoot the stuff.
