Hey guys! I figured I would share a few pictures of a deer I've been watching for a couple of weeks now. Before I started spotting I was hoping to find myself a clean typical muley that would gross into the 190s. I don't think this is going to be the deer but he has picked up quite a bit over the past few weeks.

Shortly after I first found him I crawled in to get some video and ended up getting some great footage at under 30 yards. I took a few pictures off my TV with my cell when I was reviewing the video at home. Here's a pic of what he looked like in mid July.

While getting video on him he actually circled around me and caught my wind. After that I decided not to spend too much time out there for a few weeks. Eventually when I went back out I found him grazing and decided to put a few miles on to get some more footage and a better idea of how much he had grown. His G2s and G3s seemed to have picked up a bit, but brows, G4s and mains seem to still be short for my liking. Here's a few pictures from that night taken off my TV yet again:

I'm just hoping he is able to pick up another few inches before September 1st hits. I've been fortunate enough to find a lot of great potential deer for next year and a few years down the road. I've even got footage of two young bucks with double drops sitting side by side, but they will need a few years. Hopefully one of these nights I'll stumble across something that is a real head turner, but until then, enjoy the pics!

Has anyone else taken any photos of some decent sized deer? (video, trailcam, etc) I'd love to see what everyone else is watching this time of year!

That's a nice looking buck. Maybe he would be around for next year if you're the only one on that land. I don't know much about scoring but if you're not sure about him then maybe waiting would make you happier in the end.

Myself now, I would tag him.
best of luck in whatever you choose to do. Happy hunting.

The area he is in is normally hunted pretty heavily during the rut. I highly doubt he will survive the season unless a few bad shots educate him early on.

I'll keep an eye on him until the beginning of September when a guy can start tagging a bow alongside. With any luck he'll pick up a few more inches and I can post some field photos on the 1st!
