How do you tell gen1 from gen2?

10 rounds would do if you have the gen1, gen 2 you need 14 rounds to split them open.

They are utter total garbage. Part of the reason why only 1 or 2 sponsors are selling them instead of the hundreds in the case of LAR mags

Don't store them loaded.
I stored mine loaded for a few months and the feed lips are bent enough to induce a stoppage almost every second round

They don't function properly with 50 beowulf rounds when they are brand new. Not worth wasting money on them in my experience

And, why would one store them loaded? I just don't get that.

Loaded my mags the night before a range trip and something came up last minute. Forgot about them for a while in the safe since I started using coupled lar15 mags.
They sat for probably a month or two before I found them.
Plus, most other mags can be left loaded without problems, including pmags, so one would assume these could too. They were only loaded to 10 as well.

Wasn't there an RCMP bulletin making all the 50 Beowulf mags illegal if they hold more than 5 rounds of 223?
I know a bulletin does not make it law but would it really be worth the headache of having to go to court to get your stuff back?
Mine sit until there is more clarity on the legality of them.
