press for slugs

I use a Lee Load All 2, bought it at WSP, I think it was about $50. its not too bad for a cheapy loader. Dont load any shot into it and your going to have to hand insert the slug, but other than that, I have made about several hundred and not a problem. its also light weight and fairly compact to stow away after.
 
PW model 375, the best single stage ever made. I have had a Lee Loadall2 , and they do work, but there is no comparison to the Ponsness Warren. The second best is the discontinued Pacific-Hornady 266.
 
I use the Lee loader, got mine for $20 and works great, insert the slug on top and the use the press to gently insert it, seat it by had though so not to crush the wad.
 
I agree on the Ponsness Warren, but the next best thing is the Mec. 600jr., used ones are around $125 at gunshows. I think Lee stopped making theirs, because people were using them close to the furnace and they were melting. I must say though that if I was just making some slug loads, I would just make them by hand and not buy a press.

For the number of slugs that you are going to load, go cheap and get a Lee Loadall. I have loaded slugs for the past three years, about 30 per year. More than I need but I also make them for my brother.
