Press Work Bench??

I just waited until CTire had a sale on their Mastercraft benchs, and bolted my press to it.

So does that mastercraft bench work well? is it solid? or does it flex and move when working the press?

The bench is solid. I have mounted the press to it with bolts and some re-enforcement from underneath Also, black counter surface just sits on top and is held there by gravity. You have to secure it to the framework or it lifts at the back a bit when you torque down on the press to re-size bigger cases (not .50's). So far no probs.

Used building materials store, buy a decent, flat, solid wood door. Pickup some 2 x 4's, carriage bolts and build your own.

Here is what I use, basicaly a slightly cheaper version of this

I beleive I payed less than a hundred bucks for it, think it was on sale for something like $70. At first I had my doubts, it looked kinda flimsy and was wondering how well something like that would hold up as a reloading bench.
Well I have had it for a year now and have been more than pleased with it, enough so that I plan on buying a second one. Of coarse I did have to put in some support for the press like putting in a peice of 3/4" ply wood underneath the top to support the press and I did it in such away that while it supports the press it also holds the top on to the frame work, that way I can a void srew holes in the top.

i use the can tire workbench also. the only thing i did different is lag bolt my press to a 2x6 and then use bessey clamps to secure it to the top. that way if you need the extra space for other projects , it's easily removable. i learned this the hard way after ripping the press right off the bench the first time i tried it .

X2 I did the same, but I used 2 sheets of 3/4 ply, and used screws, and glue to hold together to give a very solid work area. I used white paint, then went to C T and picked up an over head work light for under $20.00. Bright and clean work area. I used 1x6 pine to make some shelving on the wall as well.
