Pressure switch mounting location

I've got a light for my shotgun which I want to mount. The light has a pressure switch. I was thinking I should mount the pressure switch on the actual slide, but that seems kind of kludgy. So I've now mounted it up on the side of the receiver where I can reach it with my thumb.

Not sure if this is the best way to go either. Would appreciate any ideas on where to mount as I need this setup for a course this weekend.

I would mount it on the receiver where it can be turned on with your trigger finger. Most lights for pistols are designed this way and it works very well for me anyways.

You could do the same thing with your flash light with the right tailcap switch.
