Just received an email from Calgary from a guy I know, who a few days ago had offered to buy my last 20 boxes of .223 PMC because I had just sold my .223 rifle.

He wrote, "Just checked my emails today. Bad news - I had not yet heard from you and did not know how much you would have so arranged to buy 15 boxes of Winchester .223 Target FMJ from Bass Pro here yesterday. Sale item at $9.99 per box. Sorry but do not need another 20 boxes."

$10/box is a great deal ... I'd been told by him six days ago that PMC was $12 in town and Winchester was $15 and that he was fine with paying me that.

You snooze you lose, eh?

10 bucks for 40 rounds or 20? if 20 that is still more than .50c per shot after tax etc. Not cheap IMO.

About a week ago, a few of the local dealers on here were selling PMC .223 FMJ for $12/ box for 20 rounds, and Winchester was $15 / box for 20 rounds. Buddy also told me that that was the same store price on Calgary, and that's what he offered to pay me. Just saving the tax ...

Just checked Canada Ammo ... I was correct ... $12 / box

A few days ago Buddy had agreed/offered to buy all my PMC for $12 for 20 ... $240 worth ... but changed his mind before I could deliver it to his place nearby when he found that incredible Bass Pro flyer deal ...

hoard the ammo its already paid for. It will be worth it when you need it to go shooting and it is $20.00 a box.

My thoughts as well ... plus I bought it a few years ago for $9 box. Plus I still have one remaining .223 rifle, a Stag AR15 ... :)

Just gotta get out to the club a bit more ... :) ... the object of the game is to light-off all the ammunition that you own before you:

- shuffle-off this mortal coil

- run down the curtain

- kick the bucket

- join the choir invisible

- are pushin'-up the daisies ...

- are bereft of life ... resting in peace

- are demised

- are passed on

- are no more

- off the twig

- are an ex-person ... whose metabolic processes are now history

- are described thusly ... "All statements that this person is still a goin' concern are from now on ... "inoperative"!

Just curious to know ... it's been on sale for $10/box for the last few days. Is there any more? I am assuming that (in Calgary) it would have been Hoovered-up within hours.

I'd never before heard of this weird Winchester FMJ .223 "Target" round. Does anybody know anything about it? Why is it an apparent loss-leader?

Thanks

Actually 36.5 cents per round ... not too shabby at all ...

Especially in a classic military "Fire for effect!" situation ... :)
