Anyone have an idea what a Colt Officer's Model .22 would be worth?
Checked the serial number on the Colt site, and appears to be built 1938. It has a 6" barrel with target sights.

Quick research shows this:
The Officer's Model Target, Third Issue
The Officer's Model Target was introduced in 1927 and made until 1949.
Calibers were .22LR, .32 Colt, and .38 Special, with the .32 Colt only available pre-war.
In 1935 a heavy barrel was made available as an option.
Post-war only the 6" barrel was offered.
Grips were checkered walnut with silver medallions.

Condition seems fairly good from pictures, some wear, but bluing mostly intact.
It's also in a fitted presentation type locking box, with oiler. No idea if the box is original, but appears to be.
I don`t have pictures to share, but might be able to get some.

Somewhere around a $1,000-1200 USD south of the border seems the norm for these in average condition. Obviously condition is everything and they can go much higher. I find that the Canadian prices for guns like this are less and often using the lower end of the US price number (or slightly less) but in Canadian dollars comes close.
FWIW my copy of The Standard catalog of Colt Firearms suggest the postwar Officer's Model Match are actually worth 20-30% more than the prewar OMT's. I always found that a little strange as I expected the older model would be worth more. Perhaps they build far more of the OMT's? I know they were made for quite a long time (1908-1941) I have 1941 OMT and a 1956 OMM in .22 that I bought together a little over three years ago. Because they were a package i really can't say exactly what I paid for each gun.

I paid $700 three years ago for mine. Excellent shape, pre ww2. I don't have any regrets on buying it. Accuracy wise it bets my Ruger MK III target and my Ruger Single Six at 50 and 100 m. If in good condition buy it. The only 22 LR pistol which bets IT accuracy wise is my scoped Contender.

These are fairly scarce and you don't see them offered for sale all the time. That makes it harder to establish a value. To my mind these old "non snake" colts don't command anywhere near the prices they should here in Canada and usually represent good value.

Had one, didn't shoot any better or have a better trigger than my S&W17. Was bigger than the 17, that's for sure. Ditched the Colt, kept the 17.

I find them all very, very close but I think I'd rank them OMM/K-22/OMT for mine but that may have to do with the grips more than anything else as only my OMM is wearing targets. (diamond magnas on the K-22)

OTOH I'd pick my K-38 over my OMM in .38spl.
