Price check, Beretta 426E SXS 12 Ga

Belongs to a family friend, grandpa rode it hard and put it away wet... such a pity, must have been a beauty when new. Mechanically sound but many cosmetic flaws, chipped forend, chipped toe and loss of bluing. Friend has no use for it, wants to know approximate value, I estimate 700-800, am I way off?

I dont know yorgi, but it looks like it has character to me.
The only thing I see is the lever almost at the six o'clock position and not to the right .
I'd prolly bite at $700 for a Grouse Gun ...it is a working gun after all, just look at her.
She wants to get out and shoot grouse, its calling for some action if asking me.

A 1" recoil pad might clean up that chip at the toe. Nice shotgun.
