One of the old timers is selling this combo 34" single,30" o/u all the extras. I have looked on the American sites but no luck on this model. He is thinking $3500 is that out of line? Condition is good

Price sounds good but do you know how many rounds have been through it? Is action tight? What position is the opening lever when the action is closed? Answers to these questions should give you a good idea how many rounds it has left.

Too much for this gun in only good condition. It's a top single, heavier frame, older 682 with Mobile chokes or possibly fixed choke. While it's tough to put a price on a gun without seeing it I think he's $800-$1000 over the market price for this gun.

I agree, in fact a 682 Gold E combo (top single) with chokes sold at my club for $2000 just a while ago and this gun was in excellent shape, nice wood and less than 10000 rounds through it. In hind sight I should have bought it

Condition is everything ... if only "good", maybe $ 2000 - If somewhat better
maybe $ 2,500 - 2,800. Gun can't be any more than 15 years old ( '91-'97),
so how much did this "old timer" shoot it, and what takes it's condition down to only "good". Bluing showing a lot of wear, stock finish rubbed-off, splits, dings. forend loose, loose barrel/receiver fit, top lever centred or left-of- centre ? Generally neglected or reasonably well taken care of with an amount of wear commensurate with it's age ?

Thanks guys

I will try to get some Pics today and check on the condition.
It may take me a while to post it on the buy/sell ( I lost my usb cord:( )

I told the fellow of this price and he must of taken it to heart because he sold his gun for $1900.00. The real great part is he sold it to our youngest member who is also one of the hardest working guys at the club.

A beautiful gun to a well deserved shooter.

Well when I started reading your post I began by thinking DAM I let another one get by me but then when I heard about the young fella getting the gun.....well thats great and I hope he shoots it tons for a long time. It is always good to see a young guy get a good deal. It will probably energize him and he will shoot more, become better and enjoy shooting more. Thats great to hear. I think we need more young people shooting trap.

You know I asked the previous owner of the 682 gold E why he sold it for $2000 because after reading your post and everyone elses I started to think that $2000 was a REALLY good deal.....maybe too good. The pervious owner said it was too much recoil for him ( he is 75...) and he wanted a semi-auto. The buyer still shoots the gun every Saturday and wouldn't part with it for $4000....go figure.
