Price Check Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon III 32" Sporting

I think those guns are pushing $4k new these days but used value may not be anywhere near $3k, probably more like $2500. Good if your buying and not if your selling. If it has optima barrels and chokes instead of the mobil system it will be an easier sell, I believe the 687's were made with both. The fact that good 682's can be had for under $3k really affects the price of these.

they are a gorgeous firearm and sell retail $3200+ on the resale market over/under shotguns loose an a lot of value for some reason. Still as shotguns go it is one of the nicest there is, shot one a few weeks ago very nice.

I would describe these as heirloom guns. If bought second hand again these are guns you keep for yourself, your children and theirs.

So much of it depends on you. If your buying and $3k seems reasonable then who can argue with that, shooting's a hobby and worrying about a couple of hundred bucks isn't productive nor will it break the bank. The gun is largely discounted from new so you can shoot it for a few years and probably get close to what you paid for it. I'd be less enthusiastic about it if it doesn't have optima barrels though, but that's just me.
If your selling, I'd probably ask $2900 obo and see what happens.
