Anybody buy a Elite 3200 3x9x40 with Firefly lately? What did you pay? I see the prices on Wholesale and Lebaron but is that the current price? Was at The Gun Dealer here in NB and they had 399 on them that seams overpriced by $120?

Seems about right to me. I was pricing out scopes for my new rifle recently. The regular Elite 3200 is $269. Elite with Firefly about $389. And the scope I settled on, Elite with Ballistic Reticle about $500. Of course, I don't pay full retail, since I used to work at the store. 
When I was talking to the gun guy, he said the Firefly was basically just a gimmick and an American thing. 2 reasons: 1) The crosshairs are way too thick. At long range, they'll cover up alot of your smaller targets. 2) At the time it actually becomes practical to light up your crosshairs, you shouldn't be hunting. Too dark for accurate shots, and here in BC, illegal.
Just some food for thought. If you're not looking for anything special, I would suggest the standard reticle. Oh, and you can always check Ebay. Some good deals on there occasionaly.

I bought the elite 3x9-40 firefly for about $269 give or take a few dollars at lebaron. I like the scope but the firefly reticle is useless as far as the "glow in the dark" in low light conditions. BUT awesome for the heavy crosshairs that make up the firefly reticle and for lowlight conditions.....buy it for low light situations but not because it glows
