I'm curious as I'm tracking a second hand Armalite stripped lower.

I'm wondering what a fair price would be today for one so I don't get hosed.

Looking for a reference price essentially I suppose.

Second hand, stripped Armalite AR15 lower.

I was hoping to pay around $300 max. Am I right the fack out of 'er here troops? What would be a reasonable price to expect to pay for one if I come across one?

I recently sold my Armalite lower receiver with LPK installed, no buttstock/buffer/tube for $300 but that was a little bit before the US supply dried up. I think $200 - $300 for a stripped lower is reasonable, I personally would not pay more then $300 though. Also, check out SFRC(sponsor) they have a deal going on it's $259.99 for an NEA billet upper/lower combo. Just a heads up.

Aye, that's what I figured.

I am looking for a mil-spec but original style as I'm finally building my dream retro AR lol

Not a fan of the NEA trigger guard look at all.

I did find a stripped Armalite lower local but buddy wants $400 cash!!! :S

I would do $300 now because of the shortage I guess but that's pricey.

What are my other options for a standard older original AR15 style stripped lower currently? I called all the sponsors and the only thing available is NEA which I'm not going for.

Seems like noone has anything.

I'd probably settle for a Colt stripped lower as well. Anyone have any dealer info?

Do to the assault weapons ban that just passed in Conn. You won't see any Colt or Stag products because it is now illegal to sell them. If the rumours are right and Colt relocates in Texas. You will still be looking at at least a year for them to retool and start production. We won't probably see any Colt products up here for at least 1 1/2 to 2 years.

Brutal :(

Alright, then to shift direction here a bit regarding my retro build with what's available; someone educate me on DPMS lowers.

Would standard mil spec parts fit it? As in roll pins, trigger group pins, mag release, bolt catch etc?

How are they quality wise?

Not really accurate...

Colt is moving "colt competition" to texas... not their main operation. Colt competition is high end stuff IIRC, not the main AR platform.

Its illegal to sell in their states, but I believe the laws have provisions for manufacturers who make them.

Colt Competition is not Colt. It's a licensed product...

Anyone have any experience with Motiuk lowers?

I'm debating one since I can't seem to track down one single used lower from anyone with any follow through.

They seem pretty decent and the price isn't retarded.

I really don't care what it's made of etc just that it fits mil-spec standard guts.

Anyone have any opinions based on experience?

Search them, there is a thread about them but it was a while ago. From what I remember the members that bought them were impressed. They are not fancy like Vltor but a standard AR lower.

During the time since the recent election and shootings in the USA we have purchased numerous AR-15's from various suppliers and have not noticed any significant wholesale price increase. There has been your typical new model year increases but nothing that makes feel concerned in the short haul. Ammunition and some models of firearms (Ruger for example) have had significant increases in the wholsale cost. To be honest I though the AR-15 suppliers were going to stick it to us not only in price but also in product allocation but that did not occur. Check back in the 3rd quarter of the year and we will see if this holds. Phil.
