Price Check: Federal "Game Shok" 40 gr. .22LR 500 Rnd Packs?

Was in my local Canadian Tire today. Was hoping for the .36gr JHP Federal valu-pak, but the closest they had there was the 40gr lead solids in the blue packaging. 500 round brick was $18.99!:eek: Guess we're seeing that price hike in ammo, huh? Anybody else paying that kind of scratch on the mainland?
 
How about checking prices on the below in your area they may be cheaper:

Winchester Dynapoints bulk pack=40 grains copper washed lead & not lubed (with grease),Winchester # WD22LRB (same as Wildcats # WW22LR which come in a box of only 50 rounds),quantity:500.

Does anyone have the Canadian Tire # for Dynapoints?.Thanks.
 
You lucky (and dare I say ungrateful) folks! Try finding a Canadian Tire store in southern Ontario that sells ammunition!

Sigh. Even the Wal-Mart's here don't sell .22 LR.

P.S. I was referring to Toronto.
 
Co-op Hardware in Brooks, Alberta has 525rd Fed bulk packs on sale right now for 11.97 a box. No bs, they run this sale quite often;)

Maybe downtown CT stores don't have ammo, but I picked up a few boxes of the Federal Premium in Woodbridge no problem. :rockOn:
