Hey all, just wondering what the going rate is for a marlin 39b these days. Serial # L10###. Excellent condition, good metal, original finish on wood, etc etc. Just curious what they fetch these days. Thanks very much -Cameron

I don't think Marlin made a 39B - they made a 39A, and 39D, but no 39B. I would say from your description, a 39A is in the $300-$400 range in overall verygood condition.
 
L = 1954 production. Micro-groove rifling I would guess.

Probably worth at least $400 IMO for one of these old sweeties. Is it the straight stock or pistol grip?
 
M.Mike is correct on the Y.O.M. for the "L". '54 was the "Start" year for the Micro-groove 39-A's. There were a few cut rifled barrel (Ballard) 39-A's that went out in '54. Brophy lists this number at approx. 200. The Micro-Groove guns all had the Micro-Groove roll-stamp on the barrel.
