price check on 9mm JHP's?

Just for my own interest, and curiosity....
How much do 9mm bullets cost you? I am not interested in lead cast bullets, I just want to know what people are paying for either FMJ or JHP.
I just want to know if I am getting a good deal or not.....
reloading is saving me lots of money already, but I want to know if people are buying their bullets for less than I am.
I think my current price is good, but I dont know if its the best price.
I usually buy in lots of 1000.

or actually.. just tell me what it costs you to load 1000 rounds of any 9mm bullet.... this would help.

Burninator.. how much do you pay? Im paying just a little more for JHP's as colin is for FMJ's.
So.. we are getting a good deal then right?
 
To help with costs

Primers = $33 x1,000
Powder= $10 (I container seems to make around 3,000 as near as I can tell)
+ your cost on bullets

So I will pay $90+33+10= $123, and a similar round sells here for $222x 1,000. Saving myself $99 (all figures include tax) :)

It gets better for .45acp = $320 x1000, I can make them for $175 :D

And for my .455= $1060 x 1,000 , I can make them for $300 :eek:


By the time I make 1,000 rds of each calibre I have saved myself $1004 minus the $300 startup costs!!!! :dancingbanana:

I get a pound of titegroup for $26....
is this high?
 
Nope, I seen titegroup for 26-29 plus tax, right now I am just finishing off a pound of tite group and just bought some Unique yesterday for $29 plus tax. Apparently ammo components have been going up in price lately.

Higginson Powder

In the Ottawa valley, I make the trip to Higginson Powder in Hawkesburry. Call ahead to check their stock on pistol bullets. Their latest shipment of Frontier was selling fast.

Last week I bought the following:
Frontier 147gr 9mm Jacketed FP. Price was $76/thousand.
Frontier 180gr .40cal Jacketed RNFP. Price was $83/thousand.

Higginson sells their powder in bulk. 8lbs of Titegroup @ $17.50/lbs = $140. If you only buy 1lb packages, the price is a little higher due to the cost of packaging.
