Dad wants to sell his mosin but has no idea what it's worth it's a polish m44 with the bayonet removed from what I can tell. I know for a fact he left if for a few days after firing corrosive ammo so the bore is not perfect. I figured it's worth 200$-300$ does that sound about right or am I ripping myself or him off ?

Pristine Poles normally sell for $450-500 or so. A less than perfect bore and missing bayonet knocks that down a bit... $350 is probably fair assuming the bore is still shootable.

350 at least, they're becomming more rare. Just check the ee and the forum sponsers and you'll see

A mint, unfired one just sold for $450. All the best and good luck at $350 w/o bayonet and rusted.
No 'sponsers' have any Polish in stock, as far as I could tell.

OP, it'll be fair at $200-300

The bayonet has been cut and ground off, irreversible damage. I wouldn't offer more than 200 bucks if you wanted a shooter, but as a collector it has no value to me.

$200 is all I'd pay. The rifle is a known collectors piece which has had a distinguishing feature of it's completely eliminated.
