price check on a winchester 1200

I've been hunting around for a 12guage pump and had been thinking of getting a 870. Today I found someone selling a winchester 1200 2.75" chamber 28" barrel and modified choke stated as excellent condition with cleaning kit and some shells for $225.

Am I correct that this is comporable to the 870? Is that a good price assuming it's in excellent condition?

Fair price indeed. Usually see them between $200-$250. So that's right in line.

In my opinion go with the 870. I have owned both the Winchester pump and the 870 and I much prefer the Remington.

I have owned several Remington 870's, and have since tried a Winchester 1200, the action is much shorter, faster and smoother on the Winchester IMO. I am now looking for a 1200 myself. Your right on the money for them @ $200-$250 for the single bbl. one's anyways. Cheers!

if you looking for a better gun for the same price buy a used remington wingmaster.
