Some guy I know has some once fired brass from black hills ammo in .223 cal. He has absolutly no idea and asked me to make an offer for the 50 rounds.

I dont have a clue what its worth. Any help?

If you know him he should just give them to you.

50 rounds aint worth much.

Heck I will give you a couple of hundred if you need em.........(not black hills mind you).

It's worth a thank you and lunch, or on the other hand, it's not worth insulting a friend who doesn't want to hear it. I had a similar problem with a very nice guy who had an old .22 bolt action missing a clip he wanted to sell me, who didn't and doesn't want to hear it's worth 50 bucks at best.

I decided it best to refrain from offering anything, and just tell him I'll keep an eye out for anyone who needs a .22 and pass along offers.

Sadly I just bought today a bag of new winchester 100 pcs for 35$. I do not think he will be too happy to hear me offer $5 so I think discretion will be the better part of valour on this one.

"i'll keep my eyes open for anyone interested" sounds like a very good idea.

thanks for the info

Stormy, do you happen to have 55 grain Hornady FMJ's laying about? I would LOVE to grab 100 off ya to test them in my mini .. i'm poised to buy 1000 offa msg drew but I wanna try them out first and can't find anyone who has some!!!

Once fired brass is usually 1/2 price of new. Only way it would be worth more is if it were a rare cal or premium brass like Lapua etc. 223 brass is very easy to find so it`s cheaper than most.
