Forgot to add. Those Rugers make amazing deer guns. I'd keep it! Put a peep sight on it.

I've had one since 1969. Put a 1.5 -4 Bushnell Scopechief on it and it is a charm to carry and shoot. I have tried all ammo including reloads but fpr years have stuck with Remington 240 grn. jacketed HP....I believe the code is "RMG3". Deer go down when hit right. Great rifle....good luck. Dave

Looks like it takes the rotary mag to me. Where's the tube? I'm interested , not taking a shot here.

The pics put up by van city are of the tube version. you can see the carrier latch in the bottom pic, and the protruding follower for the magtube.

I have a similar version called "Deerfield". Has an original peep sight. I think it's worth more than the other versions but don't have a blue book value on it- not that it matters that much in Canada
